She does me proud
March 3, 2007
My older daughter seems to be following in my footsteps — and I couldn’t be prouder. Here she is on the left, teaching her best friend how to use the computer. :) Let me boast about her. Before she was even three, she knew how to open TuxPaint, her favorite paint program (by double-clicking that program’s icon on the desktop), select colors and brush sizes, paint across the screen, pick a “stamp” and make it bigger or smaller, stamp numerous characters, open and select a ready-made sketch, and even print pages. (Oy, all that paper wasted before I figured out how to turn off the print function.) But I’m a wee bit worried — I know how to turn on parental controls for when our daughters browse the Internet, but if she is anything like me, she’ll know how to get around them (and I would, too). Double oy.

How does one outsmart smart children?
My husband just laughs at me because I once said that I couldn’t handle having dumb kids. “Oy” is right.
